Review- Priddy Books Cutting and Pasting Activity Workbook

Hi! I hope you have subscribed to TheMomViews.com via Facebook, E Mail or RSS-Feed.

Happy Parenting!!!

Preschoolers love cutting and pasting activities and craft. Cutting and Pasting is also a great way to improve fine motor skills and helps them in body coordination. Samaira is now almost three and has shown a lot of interest in using scissors. So I thought that I would encourage her by getting her a cutting and pasting activity book. It also gives me a break from those “Coloring worksheets, she does all day long (wink wink).

I bought the Priddy Books -Cutting and Pasting Workbook and that is what I am reviewing for my readers today.

 Publisher : Priddy Books

Price: Rs 391/- ( I got it in a sale at Rs 299/-)

Format: Spiral Binding

Ages : 3+

There is a simple and easy guide on how to use the book

My daughter was absolutely fascinated by the colorful and bright illustrations. What I love about the activity book is that it gets progressively difficult for kids and  improves their skill levels slowly.

It starts with cutting of Straight lines

Then curved lines

Then difficult shapes

Don’t you love the concept that the child can cut the food shapes and complete the plate.

Samaira is slowly but steadily doing the various tasks in the workbook. It will still be a while before she can cut an absolute straight line but each shape that she cuts and pastes gives her a sense of accomplishment. I have also found that she is very concentrated during the task of cutting and tries to do her best.

Pros of the Priddy Books Cutting and Pasting Workbook

1) Love the colors and illustrations

2) The varied concepts, puzzles in the book keep the child engrossed for a long time

3) The perforated pages on a ringbound spine makes it easier for kids to tear out the pages for the cut and paste activity

4) All you need is a gluestick and a rounded end scissors for the kids to use this workbook.

Cons

1) The price (Definitely the price)

Conclusion: A great buy for indoor activities for children which promote ocular motor and visual perceptual skills for learning and are a lot of fun too.

You are right Emm. Even my motive in buying this workbook was enjoying the cutting and pasting once again with my toddler in tow. :)
